Experience Christian Church pays $7.5M for historic factory

The Experience Christian Church bought the historic factory that has been its home since 2009, according to records from the Rutherford County Register of Deeds.

Built in 1926, ECC paid $7.5 million in March for the 91,000-square-foot historic factory and its 8.5 acres at 521 Old Salem Rd. in Murfreesboro on March 7. According to records from the Property Assessor, the building and land were appraised for $5.4 million.

The building once housed Buser Ribbon Mill, which produced nylon chords for Vietnam War paratroopers.

The former textile factory had been owned by Swanson Developments since 1998 and is also home to Mayday Brewery.

Eagleview Investments LLP bought eight lots in the Eagle View subdivision for $520,000 on March 8.

Celebration Homes bought four lots in Murfreesboro's South Haven subdivision for $273,915.20 on March 12.

TBC Development bought three lots in the Hampton Park at Hillwood in Murfreesboro for $185,000 on March 13.

NVR Inc. bought two lots, 121 Moshe Yaalon Drive and 1315 Isabella Lane, in La Vergne for $122,500 on March 6.

Wayne and Vicky Pope bought 2850 Roy Arnold Rd. in Murfreesboro for $749,900 on March 5. The 4,846-square-foot home sits on 10 acres and features five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a 1,728-square-foot gentlemen's barn and a screened-in porch.

Justin and Tiffany West bought 2826 Cherry Blossom Lane in Murfreesboro for $715,000 on March 5.
