Alive Hospice held its annual Murfreesboro Butterfly Release at 10 a.m. May 19 at the Alive Hospice Residence at 1629 Williams Drive.
Butterflies are sponsored and released in memory of a loved one.
The butterfly releases are an important fundraiser, which supports Alive’s mission-based services: grief support, outreach, education, and charity care. Services include community education events, physician and healthcare professionals’ training on end-of-life care, and a safe place to grieve for kids and teens at special summer camps.
The event is free and open for anyone in the community who has lost a loved one.
