Where is Sam Clemens and The Murfreesboro Tribune?

Where has Sam Clemens gone when we need him desparately?

First, we have Mike Sparks saying easily lampooned things.

Then, disgraced former high sheriff Robert Arnold (Bob Darnold to readers of the Murfreesboro Tribune) writing the president for a pardon.

A Presidential Pardon!

We haven't heard a whisper from the Murfreesboro Tribune since March 16 when Clemens commented on a rumor that a serial killer was on the loose in town.

During the Arnold debacle, we could count on Clemens to put the sheriff's crimes into perspective. But now when these seemingly ripe for spoofing events unfurl, he is absent.

Where has he been? What's he doing?

Did he lose his internet access?

Did he get a real job?

Did he get scooped up by the Mueller probe?

Did he divorce himself from the world of satire?

Where are you when we need you, Sam?

If he doesn't show soon, maybe we can flush him out by speculating on his true identity. If you have an idea, post it in the comments.
