On Friday, Oct. 12, the HeArt of Tennessee project displayed at the Murfreesboro Courthouse Square.

The project, organized by painter Ginny Togrye, features 24 aluminum hearts painted by local artists as an homage to the Murfreesboro Loves signs displayed October 2017 in reaction to the White Nationalist Rally planned that month.

The exhibit, which included poetry, theatrical performances by Center for the Arts, and music by Greg Reish and Austen Derryberry, coincided with the October Boro Art Crawl.

The hearts, painted by Norris Hall, Suzanne LeBeau, Diane Stockard, Lewis and Eric Snyder, Ashley Buchanon, Abby Reish, Sharon Mayeux, Togrye herself, and many others will live on past their first display in various locations around the city and possibly later in a permanent exhibit.
