Do you have a voting plan for Election Day?

Tuesday, November 6, is a very important Election Day!

As Co-Presidents of the League of Women Voters of Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, we encourage you to make an election plan. Voting is our way to make a difference and influence our communities, and developing your own personal election plan will ensure that your voice is heard. Think about when, where and what time you plan to vote.

The Rutherford County Election Commission has established a new voting process to make voting easier on Election Day. Convenient Vote Centers provide you with more polling locations to choose where you want to cast your vote on Election Day.

You will be allowed to VOTE at ANY of the 28 locations (see map below) that are most convenient to your work, school or travel inside Rutherford County on Election Day. You are no longer assigned a mandated polling location. Visit ruco.vote to learn more about voting center times and locations.

Putting together a plan will help you make sure you get to the polls with all the information you need. You can also encourage your friends and family to form their own election plans.

Whichever way you choose to vote this year, know that by doing so you are fulfilling the single most important right of our democracy. In this time of great political divide, voting brings us together as Americans – it is the one time when we all have an equal voice.
