Murfreesboro ranks No. 12 in the Top-25 cities where millennials are moving, according to a recent SmartAsset study using U.S. Census Bureau data.
Millennials are now the largest generation in the workplace and by 2030 they will comprise 75% of the U.S. workforce, according to estimates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But some parts of the country, including Murfreesboro, are benefiting from a larger influx of this coveted generation.
Maybe they are moving here because they can't afford Nashville.

Migration data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau. In its third annual study, SmartAsset analyzed Census Bureau data on migration patterns of people between the ages of 20 and 34 to uncover the cities with the highest net migration of millennials.
The millennial generation has come of age. This cohort is working in a variety of jobs and relocating to different cities. Some cities and states, though, are more popular spots for millennials to move to than others. They could be moving for a variety of reasons. Job opportunities, affordable housing (whether it involves renting or making mortgage payments) and quality of life could all be factors determining where millennials are moving.
