Rutherford Arts Alliance will host its first juried art show from Oct. 1 – Nov. 15 at the City Hall Rotunda Gallery, 111 W. Vine St., the nonprofit announced.
This event is a collaboration with the city of Murfreesboro, the Boro Art Crawl and the Discovery Center’s STEAM Festival and will showcase the rich creative culture of Rutherford County. Patrons will have a chance to meet the artists at a reception 6-9 p.m. Oct. 11 during the Boro Art Crawl and STEAM Festival.
Rutherford Arts Alliance Chairwoman Ginna Foster Cannon is “excited to share the breadth and depth of talent within Rutherford County and invite attendees to learn more about our vibrant membership organization.”
The show celebrates many art forms from pottery and sculpture to painting and jewelry from these local artists: Ray Kleinlein, Lisa Browning, Mira Patel, Susan Truex, Dorothy Stevens, Kaitlin Savage, Randy Richardson, Fiona Dowd, Justyna Kostkowska, Jennifer McGuire, Diane Stockard, Carol Berning, Abby Reish, Susan Carter, Gregory Lannon, Lee Hodges, Barbara Hodges, Ryan Frizzell, Lisa Sims, Mary Veazie, Sharon Trevathon, Ginny Togrye, Elizabeth Bray, Sally Govan, and Robyn Rainwater.
RAA is an advocacy alliance created to identify, unite and promote the hundreds of arts, culture and heritage activities within Rutherford County. They welcome anyone who wants to support the local arts, culture and heritage to join them at their monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at locations throughout the county.
