No plans for Valentine's Day? Now you do and you'll be supporting a great cause. Spend your Valentine's Day on Main Street with friends at Charity Circle's newest party, the Ladies Valentine Luncheon, Friday, February 14, 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
“What could be more fun than to get together on the day of love and enjoy luncheon favorites while benefiting our Rutherford County neighbors? ” said event Co-Chair Shannon Smith. “The community is invited; grab your girlfriends and join us!”
Parties at the Willson/Huddleston home are a Charity Circle tradition. Ellen grew up in this home where her mother Kay Huddleston was a true hostess to all. Ellen and Paul Willson made this their family residence in 2000 when her parents built across the street. The 1921, white brick Colonial Revival notably features modillions and a pedimented gable roof. Adorned with a black and white awning and positioned on the corner of Main Street and Cherry Lane, it is a landmark home for Murfreesboro's historic district.
“Paul and I enjoy carrying on the family spirit of welcoming new and old friends into our home,” said Ellen Willson. “We are so excited about this party and enjoying the day.”
The Ladies Valentine Luncheon benefits Charity Circle, a women's organization whose fundraising efforts support the basic health and welfare needs of families in Rutherford County. In 2018, the organization distributed more than $432,000 to 36 local agencies.
