(Rutherford County, TN)-- There are approximately 5000 open positions in Rutherford County that employers are trying to fill. To support job seekers and employers, Rutherford Works, in partnership with Workforce Essentials, will host a virtual job fair featuring in-demand jobs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Dec. 2.
This free event currently features 40 businesses advertising around 500 open positions ranging from entry-level to experienced. Mirroring an in-person event, job seekers and recruiters will meet at booths and talk about open positions through a virtual, live chat feature as part of this online job fair. Candidates can view current job openings, view company information and submit their resume directly to recruiters during the event.
“We know COVID-19 disrupted a lot of lives this year, and we hope to help people who’ve been impacted by job loss or uncertainty find a new career through this virtual job fair,” stated Rutherford Works Senior Vice-President of Education and Workforce Development Beth Duffield. “This digital experience will allow job seekers and employers to meet and exchange information in a quick and safe manner,” she finished.
Educational institutions and training providers will also be present to assist job seekers looking to continue their education or gain specialty certifications.
Registration is easy and attendees can log in from their phone, tablet or computer as long as they have an internet or Wi-Fi connection.
Easily recognizable employers for this job fair include Advance Auto Parts, Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford, Bridgestone, Lewis Bakeries, Marelli, NHC, Nissan and The ICEE Company.
