An arrest has been made in the Aggravated Rape and Aggravated Robbery that occurred in Murfreesboro on Nov. 14.

Chriteris Allen of Jackson, Tenn., 18, was arrested by the Jackson Police Department on Dec. 6 on charges from that area. Aggravated Rape and Aggravated Robbery warrants from Rutherford County have been served on him and he will be extradited to Rutherford County upon adjudication.

The arrest was made as a result of the investigation by the Murfreesboro Police Special Victim’s Unit, with the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, the Jackson Tennessee Police Department and the U. S. Marshall Service.

The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, Nov. 14 just before 1 p.m. when MPD responded to a call in the area of Sunset Avenue of an Aggravated Rape and Robbery.

The victim reported the suspect approached her in her driveway, displayed a gun and forced her into a detached garage where the sexual contact occurred. She said he then robbed her of money and her cell phone and fled on foot.

Mitchell Neilson Schools were placed on a precautionary lockdown for a short time because of their close proximity.

On Nov. 30, MPD released a sketch of the suspect.
