Two people died in a shooting late Wednesday at their home off state Route 96 West (Franklin Highway), said Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh.

Responding deputies heard shots fired when they responded to a 911 call about 10 p.m. to Annadel Court, he said.

“There’s no danger to the community,” Fitzhugh said.

Detectives are conducting the investigation. More information is expected later.
