Interstate Warehousing, one of the largest public refrigerated warehouse companies in the United States, is expanding the Murfreesboro, cold storage distribution center once again.
The latest expansion will add another 115,000 square feet, 16,000 pallet positions and 50 new jobs to the warehouse on Joe B. Jackson Parkway in Murfreesboro.
“This project is a testament to the economic success we are experiencing in Rutherford County,” said Destination Rutherford Chairman Bill Jones. “Their expansion will create more jobs thus contributing to our overall economy and quality of life.”
The expansion will create 50 new jobs as a result of the $17.5 million investment in the project. The facility was originally built in 2006 and has grown through several expansions over the years. Once the addition is complete, the facility will stand at more than 500,000 square feet.
“Rutherford County has been an incredible community to be a part of,” said John Tippmann Jr., president of Tippmann Group/Interstate Warehousing. “We are excited to continue to grow in this area, and look forward to serving our customers in this facility for years to come.”
