Rutherford County crime

A second Nashville man has been arrested within the past week for distributing fentanyl-laced heroin in Rutherford County, according to a press release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Lacorious Fuller (pictured here), 26, of 3000 block of Hillsboro Pike in Nashville, was arrested on a drug conspiracy charge after he was indicted by the Rutherford County Grand Jury.

On Thursday, TBI Agents and detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department executed a search warrant at Fuller’s apartment, seizing heroin, guns and other narcotics. During the execution of the search warrant, a Metro Police officer was exposed to heroin and was transported to a Nashville hospital for medical evaluation and was subsequently cleared.

In November 2018, law enforcement officers began investigating a series of overdoses that occurred across the Middle Tennessee area involving fentanyl-laced heroin.

During the investigation, TBI agents and detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office developed information that identified a member of the distribution organization of that supply of heroin and fentanyl.

TBI Agents arrested Fuller on Thursday, and he was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

On Feb. 2, Reginald T. Womack, 32, of Old Hickory was charged in connections with series of overdoses that took place across Middle District involving fentanyl-laced heroin.

The arrests follow a joint investigation including Special Agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the TBI, Tactical Diversion Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration, and detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department, MPD and RCSO.
