Rutherford County Democratic Party to elect new leaders at biennial Reorganization Convention

The Rutherford County Democratic Party will hold a biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on April 6 at Patterson Park Community Center, 521 Mercury Blvd. in Murfreesboro.

Doors open at 8 a.m. for registration. The convention starts promptly at 9 a.m.

Participants should arrive early to complete the registration process. Delegates should present their voter registration card and photo identification. If you have lost your voter registration card, a replacement card may be obtained from the Rutherford County Election Commission at 1 Public Square South or call 615-898-7743 prior to the convention date.

Local supporters of the Democratic Party who are present have an opportunity to vote for the new Executive Committee who, in turn, will be electing a new officer slate including a Chair, two Vice Chairs, two Secretaries, and a Treasurer.

All Democratic residents who are eligible voters in Rutherford County are encouraged to attend and become part of the process. During the Reorganization, attendees will learn what is expected of Committee members and what the Party has in store for the next two years.

This convention is open to all Democratic supporters.

 

Attendees should arrive early to complete the credentialing forms and be admitted to the convention prior to the 9 a.m. start time. Meeting will end shortly after noon. Admittance will be prohibited after the convention begins.
