A 16-year old black male escaped from the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center around 1:42 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release.

It is believed the juvenile stole a silver 2019 Toyota Tundra  from a local business. There was a loaded weapon inside the vehicle.

The juvenile may have gotten on Interstate 24 heading towards the Clarksville area. 

He is approximately 5’6” tall.  He was wearing a black and white juvenile jumpsuit   He is from Clarksville.

The investigation is on-going.
