They are the calm voices behind the scenes, working together to answer 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency calls for service and coordinating public safety emergency responses. On Monday, Murfreesboro’s Emergency Communications Specialists were honored for their dedicated service.
Every year in April, Public Safety Telecommunicators are honored as part of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week for serving their communities as the critical communications link between citizens and emergency services field personnel.
The City of Murfreesboro honored one calm voice in particular as Murfreesboro's 2019 Telecommunicator of the Year. Dispatcher Tim Juneau was honored for his work.
Here's why:

Tim is always a calm during the storm. Tim never folds under pressure. His demeanor is always even keel. His ability to handle stress in the communications center is something to be admired. Tim knows what needs to be done, and he gets it done.
As a CTO, Tim diligently takes time to explain to trainees, one on one, the reasons behind why we do certain things that we do. He is a great trainer, has a positive attitude, and desires to invest in and improve our communications center. He often offers tips to make the transition to this career an easier one. As a CTO, he ensures that our future dispatchers are well-trained and ready for the job.
Officers and Firefighters like hearing Tim's voice on the radio, because when they hear Tim, they know they are taken care of, and they know their safety is No. 1.
He is calm, quiet and effective at his job and is very strongly skilled in all aspects of the communications center's workload. Tim is a hard worker, team player, and well-rounded dispatcher.
