Blackman High School physics students recently finished first and second at the Music City Bridge Building Competition. This is the first time Blackman High has received the top two places since 2002.

Jessica Baker, Alexie Fry, Emelia Eidemiller and Lane Dorse will construct new bridges and compete at an upcoming competition in Chicago at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Bridges at the Nashville event, which was sponsored by Vanderbilt University, met engineering requirements and were tested for efficiency. The students participated in the event as part of their physics class with Gayle Dawson.
