This week, MTSU Football's Twitter account has created a bit of a buzz in the college football world.
Making the announcement via the popular social media app, MTSU released its 2021 Blue Raider Football Schedule: The Office Edition on Wednesday. As of this writing, the post has been shared 325 times and has received over 700 "likes" on Twitter.
Sharing 13 quick clips from the popular television show The Office to match the mascot of each of the Blue Raiders 2021 opponents, the creative post has capitalized on the enormous popularity of one of the funniest network comedy shows of all-time.
Some of the funnier moments of the video include The Office characters Dwight and Andy singing John Denver's popular "Country Roads" in the breakroom as the shot for the game against West Virginia's Marshall Thundering Herd on October 2 and the ever popular Michael and Dwight searching through a trash heap at the dump for the game at bitter rival Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on November 6.
While the video compilation is clever and creative, the Blue Raiders schedule itself is no laughing matter. The 2021 schedule includes five bowl teams from 2020.
With road games at Virginia Tech, Texas-San Antonio, Charlotte, Liberty, Connecticut, Western Kentucky, and Florida Atlantic, the Blue Raiders potential path to the Conference USA championship will be full of challenges.
The Blue Raiders will host Monmouth, Marshall, Southern Mississippi, Florida International, and Old Dominion at Floyd Stadium.
