Sheriff’s detectives recovered several stolen trucks and a 25-foot trailer after a suspect was apprehended in a stolen truck following a pursuit Thursday in Rutherford and Wilson counties.

Suspect Jonathan Livsey, 25, of Burleson Lane, was charged with three counts of theft. He was also charged with evading arrest, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving on a revoked license from the pursuit.

Deputy Matt Mosely spotted Livsey driving a stolen white Dodge truck Thursday morning and he and Cpl. Jon Levi pursued him to Wilson County. Sgt. Lee Young and his K-9, Ely, located Livsey after he abandoned the truck in a field.

Detective Tony Grissom said Livsey was already a suspect in several auto thefts.

Detective Ty Downing recovered a stolen 1995 brown Ford Van with Livsey’s wallet inside and a 2005 Chevrolet truck Wednesday. Witnesses told him Livsey was in the truck.

When questioned by detectives Thursday, Livsey gave details about several other vehicles he allegedly stole, Grissom said.

Acting on his information, Grissom, Downing and Detective Randy Groce recovered a stolen 2013 Chevrolet truck and another vehicle owned by the same person, a 25-foot gooseneck trailer and a 1998 Chevrolet truck allegedly stolen by Livsey.

Grissom reported a man told him he bought a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck from Livsey for $600. The stolen truck was recovered and returned to the owner.

More charges are pending against Livsey, who is being held on a $31,500 bond. A hearing is set Jan. 30 in General Sessions Court.
