Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity (RCHFH) and the First Baptist Murfreesboro Main Street Church and the First Baptist Castle Street Church will celebrate an exciting Panel Build on Saturday, March 12, 9am – 2pm, at the RC Habitat parking lot, 850 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN.

The event will include over 100 volunteers from the First Baptist churches, who will build ALL the exterior and interior wall panels for a Habitat house in just 5 hours! As the walls are built, they will be used to construct a Habitat for Humanity house right there in the parking lot! A unique thing about the Habitat panel builds is that all ages can participate, from age 14 up. Church members can sign up for 1-hour shifts and work hand-in-hand with other members as well as the Habitat Future Homeowner, Amber.

In addition to seeing the walls laid out and “touring” the house with Amber, volunteers will write words of encouragement and congratulations on the wall studs. The Panel Build will end about 2:30 p.m. with a group photo of volunteers prior to loading the walls for transporting to RCHFH’s Legacy Pointe subdivision community on Twin Oak Drive in Murfreesboro. Construction will start the following week and be completed by late spring, when Amber and her family can complete her mortgage to buy their home, and move in.

The First Baptist churches are also sponsoring the entire construction of this house at Legacy Pointe.
