Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck is going to be a restaurant soon if a billboard near Sam Ridley Parkway on Interstate 24 is to be believed.
Murfreesboro residents and local franchisees Craig and Quinn Betts confirmed to Eater Nashville that the rolling restaurant will soon put down roots.
The Betts said they plan to add about 600 square feet at 1932 Almaville Rd. in Smyrna, which has been the commissary for their two lobster trucks.
The extra square footage will become a dining room for about 40. They also plan to add outdoor seating and a drive-thru.
According to the Eater Nashville article, the restaurant should open in April.
The Shark Tank-backed lobster roll purveyor has 28 trucks in 16 U.S. Cities and four brick and mortar restaurants.
The first restaurant opened in 2015 in West Hollywood, Cali. According to an article in the LA Times, the founders Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis live in West Hollywood and wanted to try their concept there.cousin
Since then, restaurants been planned for St. Petersburg, Fla., Raleigh, N.C., and Neptune Beach, Fla., Nashville and Atlanta.
No opening dates have been released yet. An attempt to contact the Murfreesboro-based franchisee about the Nashville location was unsuccessful.
