Blackman vs Stewarts Creek

It won't be Friday Night Lights as usual for Blackman football this week. Their game against Stewarts Creek has been moved to Thursday night at the Inferno due to the weather forecast for Friday night.

The Blaze are hot right now. They're looking to extend their current winning streak to three games.

A win over Stewarts Creek would put Blackman at 8-1 on the season heading into the season finale against Riverdale on Oct. 26.

The Blaze are averaging nearly 40 points per game while giving up an average of only 11 per contest.

Blackman has just one defeat on the season, a 24-14 loss at Oakland who is, according to the Associated Press rankings, currently No. 2 in the state in the 6A classification.

There's certain to be a rematch of that one coming up in the playoffs, but Thursday night's rescheduled game is the only one that matters at the moment.

The game will kickoff at 7 pm.
