Charity Circle Caroling Parties

The magic of Christmas is rapidly approaching and the ladies of Charity Circle are preparing for their 104-year tradition of hosting "Caroling Parties" to benefit our neighbors in need.

The holiday season is truly commenced by the holiday favorites served at the Ladies Christmas Luncheon, this year hosted at the Greek Revival home of Dr. Alex and Mrs. Alicia Hollis on Friday, Dec. 6. A week later, Friday, Dec. 13, an elegant evening of Cocktails & Cheer will be hosted at the Northwoods Estates home of Dr. Michael and Mrs. Katie Jordan.

"Nothing is more special than celebrating the holidays with friends, new and old, while helping others," said Anne Davis, Charity Circle President. "I so look forward to this time of year as these ladies never disappoint in sharing the spirit of the holidays while hosting beautiful, fun parties."

Celebrate your holiday season by joining the ladies of Charity Circle in giving back. Funds raised will be used to benefit food, clothing, shelter and medicine insecurity needs for Rutherford County neighbors.

First, there is the Ladies Luncheon where the aromas of good homemade holiday cooking fill the air as women gather to initiate the Advent season. The gorgeous buffet is prepared by apron-adorned hostesses and features seasonal casseroles and nostalgic desserts reminiscent of times passed.

Cocktails & Cheer at the beautiful French-inspired Jordan home, adorned with Christmas tartan, berries and evergreens, is the perfect setting for men and women, donned in their holiday finery, to bring in the Yuletide. Cocktails & Cheer features festive cocktails accompanied by a feast of tenderloin and shrimp and topped off with the crowd favorites, bourbon balls and pecan bars.

Funds are distributed quarterly to nine ongoing Rutherford County nonprofits: Child Advocacy Center, Community Helpers of Rutherford County, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, Doors of Hope, Good Shepherd Children's Home, Ann Campbell Early Learning Center, NOURISH Food Bank, Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center, and The Journey Home. Twenty-seven other local agencies received funds in 2018 through Charity Circle’s Special Request grant process.
