On Aug. 6, the Exchange Club of Murfreesboro presented a variety of school supplies to the Department of Children Services to provide those needs to their clients.

Frequently, children are removed from situations and do not have time to retrieve their school supplies. In order to help those students continue their educational needs, these supplies will help keep them on their education track.

Exchange Club President Brian Hongsermeir, Immediate Past Club President Melissa Blair Wright, and Club President-Elect Mike Gann represented the Exchange Club by transporting and delivering school supplies to the DCS Office. The effort is part of the Exchange Club’s Program for Youth Activity.

As part of the Club Program of Americanism, each backpack had a small American flag inserted as part of the "Give-A-Kid-A-Flag-To-Wave" project.

The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro, chartered in 1951, vision is "A strong America, safe communities, and unified people" For more information, follow The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro on Facebook, or call 615-641-0121 or visit NationalExchangeClub.org for more information.
