Light Up the Night Party to celebrate the end of summer

The Child Advocacy Center is hosting the 4th annual Light Up the Night Party to celebrate the end of summer from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10.

Light Up the Night is an outdoor event at the beautiful Oaklands Mansion,” said Child Advocacy Center Development Coordinator Katie Enzor. “Masks are encouraged and Oaklands front lawn provides a wide area to social distance. We encourage guests to wear white to shine a light on the darkness of child abuse.”

The party of the season will include music, dancing, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a silent auction. Two complimentary drinks are included with each ticket and a cash bar will be available. Tickets are $100 per individual or $175 per couple. Tickets will also be available at the door for purchase.

“The Child Advocacy Center is grateful for the faithful support of our sponsors. Some of them have been supporting the Center for over 20 years,” said Executive Director Sharon De Boer. The Shooting Star presenting sponsors are Redstone Federal Credit Union and Oaklands Mansion. The Crescent Moon sponsors are Adient, Bridgestone La Vergne Plant, F & M Bank, Middle Tennessee Emergency Physicians, and Michael Bussey with State Farm.

The Sparkler sponsors include Kim Eischeid from Claiborne and Taylor Insurance, Brad Hopkins with Exit Realty, Steve Fuchcar CPA, Jobe, Hastings and Associates, Josh Hawkins, Dr. and Mrs. Mitch and Jennifer Pullias, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Pediatrics, Stanlick Chiropractic, Dana Womack with State Farm Insurance. The Firefly sponsors are Carl Blair, Ernest and Peggy Burgess, Kiwanis of Murfreesboro, Pinnacle Financial Partners, Smyrna Auto Wash, and Wilson Bank and Trust.

The Child Advocacy Center has never closed during the pandemic. The Center works as a team with Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office to respond to emergency child abuse cases, protect children, arrest perpetrators, aggressively prosecute offenders, help children heal from the trauma, and help families rebuild their shattered lives.
