Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service paramedic Alice Swinford was recently honored by The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro on Wednesday, Oct. 6, as the Rutherford County EMS of the year at a special luncheon at Through the Grapevine restaurant.
“Alice has shown loyalty and unselfish dedication to the citizens of Rutherford County and Rutherford County EMS, which has not gone unnoticed. Alice has taken on the “Community Paramedicine Program Project” and once it is implemented will be the first program in the state,” Carl Hudgens, director of The Rutherford County EMS.
Swinford has been employed with Rutherford County EMS for 27.5 years, and is a true servant to the citizens of Rutherford County and a star to the profession.
For years, The Exchange Club has honored our law enforcement officers and our local firefighters. It was realized that a key contributor in the community was EMS, and The Exchange Club started in 2019 recognizing the outstanding Emergency Medical Services with an annual award.
