Murfreesboro, TN (August 1, 2022) – Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity (RCHFH) is

thrilled to partner with Calvary Baptist Church on a Panel Build where over 100 volunteers will
build all of the walls for a Habitat house in just 5 hours. The event will take place in the parking

lot at Calvary Baptist Church, 431 DeJarnette Ln in Murfreesboro, Saturday August 6, 9am –
2pm and the public is invited to stop by and cheer the volunteers on. Church members can sign
up for the volunteer spots with their church.

As the walls are built, volunteers will stand them up to create a Habitat house right there in the

parking lot. They will be able to walk through the house with Future Homeowner Lindsey and
sign the walls with best wishes and scripture. Team photos and video will be taken throughout
the event. There will also be a dunking booth and cooling fans to help volunteers beat the heat.
After the Panel Build, the finished walls will be moved to the construction location of the Habitat
house at Legacy Pointe for Future Homeowner Lindsey who works for Cardinal Health in
LaVergne. Like most Habitat Future Homeowners, Lindsey has been cost burdened with high
rent and limited rental choices for her and her three children. They have moved around a lot
and are ready to settle down.

“Habitat is giving my children and I the chance to live a normal life,” she states.
Lindsey has been accepted to Motlow State Community College where she hopes to get a
degree in accounting. Her children are also looking forward to finally having a place of their own
and doing all the things that most people take for granted like mowing, gardening, riding bikes,
and having friends over. The Habitat program will make their dreams come true.
