This year's Summer Supper calls for "Good Fun, Southern Food, and Great Cause," which is all in a night's celebration as one of Charity Circle's fundraising season's most successful events. Ted and Gloria LaRoche will welcome this year's party-goers at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at their Riverbend home.

The fried chicken supper with homemade sides, prepared by Charity Circle hostesses, will be served by the LaRoche pool nestled in the modern home's park-like landscape. The yard overlooks the picturesque Stones River and is lavishly planted with Cumberland Plateau wildflowers, ferns, shrubs and trees. "New Shannon" is built and certified "Green."

This year's Summer Supper exhibits the LaRoche family's philanthropic spirit and dedication to the nonprofit and its broad work in the community.

It is a family production with Ted and Gloria LaRoche hosting while daughter-in-law Brook LaRoche and sister Lina LaRoche Warden co-chair the festivities and sister Dr. Elizabeth LaRoche co-hosts.

"Summer Supper is open to the public and I always look forward to making new friends at the party while enjoying delicious food, " said Chair Brook LaRoche. "Charity Circle is so important as a major benefactor for many of the non-profits providing basic needs in Murfreesboro."

Charity Circle of Murfreesboro is a women's organization founded in 1910 whose fundraising efforts benefit food, clothing, shelter and medicine insecurity needs for Rutherford County neighbors.

Twenty-seven other local agencies received funds in 2018 through Charity Circle's Special Request grant process.

Party co-chairs are Brook LaRoche and Lina Warden.
